Roger has been serving the DMV area for several years and with a proven track record. Here are some of the players he has tranformed.

I love my tennis lessons with Roger! It's been remarkable to see the progress my group of friends and I have made over the past year with Roger's instruction. His lessons are fun, we always have a great time, and we learn a lot, too! He's a great coach!

I've had the pleasure of teaching alongside Roger for several years. He is one of the most knowledgeable and professional teaching pros out there. His passion for the game really shows while on the court and as a teaching professional myself, I think that is what really seperates the good from the best. Whether your looking for a good workout, some fine tuning or just starting to play, Roger will make sure you have a memorable experience.

Roger and I have been hitting for about eight years. I learned tennis late in life and he has coached me from the beginning. I’ve progressed from a beginner to an advanced level while hitting with him about once a week. He’s been a great coach and is also a good friend. He is rated by the USTA as a professional tennis instructor which is quite an accomplishment. I’ve found that he has great enthusiasm for the game. He is also a great athlete. He has a keen eye which he uses to analyze a player’s strokes quickly, which in turn helps him to impart the knowledge needed to correct improper technique. He has fun playing and imparts that enthusiasm to the player across the net. His superior coaching skills when combined with his pleasant fun-loving personality, helps to make him a great tennis coach!

Roger Mensah is the best, most patient tennis instructor in the area! We have known Roger for six years. He has instructed both of my daughters in tennis and their game has improved immensely. He has been working with my 13 year old daughter over the last three years. Her love and mastery of the game have been so enhanced by Roger. She is getting ready to compete in matches around Montgomery County, thanks to Roger's exceptional teaching ability. Roger knows how to relate to young men and women as well as adults. His patience is extraordinary. We have taken tennis lessons all over the area and there is no one like Roger!

Roger, is not only an excellent tennis teacher and coach, he is friendly, gregarious, patient, has a great sense of humor and is fun to work with. As a teacher he holds nothing back and can readily break down and demonstrate everything he teaches. Roger, like his number one counterpart, is a devoted student of the game of tennis. He is constantly up on the latest techniques of playing and teaching as well. He constantly challenges me to improve, which is exactly what I need. I feel very fortunate to have him as a coach and a friend!

I have been taking tennis lessons from Roger for seven years now. Thanks to him I played on my high school team, and two years for Montgomery College. He is able to see the mistakes you are making in just seconds and correct them just as quickly. Not only is Roger a great but he is also an unbelievable player. Roger will work with you on the form, and the whole fundamental of the game. He can improve anyones game dramatically. I could not have asked for a better tennis coach. I strongly recommend him as coach for any level players.

I started working with Roger about a year and a half ago. I was a beginner and Roger taught me step-by-step. More than patient, he made every lesson fun - always encouraging while teaching. I liked the experience so much that I convinced my husband to take an additional class with Roger every week. He now loves tennis too. I could not be more pleased with my tennis experience so far!"

Roger is an encouraging and supportive coach. He has worked with our group of beginning ladies for over a year and we are now able to play doubles matches together. Through his positive coaching, we are learning how to be more strategic, stronger players. Roger's jolly demeanor puts beginners at ease and one day I hope to have my teenage son take lessons from him. This is all absolutely true. Thanks for your awesome coaching.

Roger is an excellent instructor and an inspiring coach. He helped me with all the aspects of my game - stroke fundamentals, footwork, court positioning, strategy, etc., etc. I am a senior player (age 66) and he was able to tailor our sessions to my level of fitness and ability while at the same time encouraging me to do work toward a higher level.

I highly recommend Roger as a tennis coach, benefitting from private lessons, group clinics, and cardio-tennis. What makes him outstanding? He covers all aspects of the game well: fundamentals, tactics, fitness, and mental attitude. He is always "on" continually motivating his clients with a high level of energy. He has accommodated session times around my schedule and helped to get me connected to fellow players. Roger is passionate about the sport and fully dedicated to it. He sets high but realistic expectations for all his clients across age and ability levels, using varied and fun drills, well-informed about the latest developments in tennis pedagogy and exhibiting artistry when moving across the court.

I met Roger through a friend who had been taking lessons from Roger. My friend saw my serve and said you need to go see Roger!Roger has the ability observing and diagnose exactly what your mistakes are, and help you build and develop. Through drills Roger emphasizes the basics; he is relentless in reminding you what you are doing wrong and where to improve, and praising you on what you're doing right! Shot to shot, he'll push, prod, cajole, remind and encourage you to up your game. All you have to do is listen and act upon what he says, and you'll notice real tangible improvements.I've had various coaches over the years who either can't tell what you're doing wrong, or don't seem to be able to explain what you're doing wrong. Roger sees it from the moment you step on the court and puts you directly on the path to getting it right. I had some real "light bulb" moments with Roger including basic control, fore-hand, back-hand, and serving.

Im 16 years old, and I have been playing tennis for three years. I started playing tennis with Roger 3 years ago when I was very weak, frail, and physically unhealthy. My mother suggested that I play some type of sport so she enrolled me in The College Park Tennis Center. The center was hosting a party in which all members and future members were invited. They eventually held a raffle, and I won an hour lesson with Roger Mensah. That hour lesson changed my life. Roger has always been committed to developing great tennis players and fantastic athletes. His training combines physical training as well mental toughness. My three years with him have been intense, but fun and enjoyable. I remain a student of Roger and I highly recommend his services. If you're looking for a friend, a tennis coach, and a fantastic motivator; this is your guy.
